She is survived by son Bob Barnts and wife Joyce, Redmond, Wash.; daughters Janet Jenson, Longmont, and Sandra Wagner, Sterling; brother Harold Hoffman, Sterling; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services are Thursday, May 26, at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Rev. Derek DeToni-Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hoffman was born Oct. 29, 1915, in Stoneham, to Edward and Paulina (Huff) Hoffman. He attended one year of high school in Sterling, and finished his last three years in VanBuren, Ind., graduating in 1933. He married Georgia North on Aug. 17, 1942, in Kimball, Neb. Mr. Hoffman served in the Army during World War II, in the South Pacific, in a signal corps attached to the Air Force. He served from October 1942 until his discharge in December 1945. He then lived on the family ranch north of Stoneham until 1956, when the family moved to Sterling. Mr. Hoffman worked at the Sterling post office for 22 years, retiring in August 1980. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men's Club, and United Postal Workers. He is survived by sons Harold Ed Hoffman, of Frankfort, Ky., William "Bill" Hoffman and wife Gayle, of North Denver; grandson Mike Hoffman and wife Christy, of Las Vegas; special friends Margaret Fall, of Sterling, and Charlene Hoffman, of Denver; nieces Janet Jensen, of Longmont, and Sandra Wagner, of Sterling; and nephew Bob Barnts and wife Joyce, of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Georgia Hoffman in June 1981; and sister Louise Barnts. A private family memorial will be held. She was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Monte Vista, to Louis and Louise (Huffman) Barnts, Sterling natives. Sandra grew up and lived in Sterling for a large part of her life.Prior to retirement, Sandra worked as a surgical registered nurse in Dallas, Denver and the Boulder area for many years.She was a loving companion of the late Elmer Wagner of Sterling for the past 25 years. Sandra enjoyed cooking, gardening, and caring for her beloved dog, Shi Shi.Survivors include her sons, Troy Bradshaw and wife Nicole and their foster children, Aryana, Destiny and Allison of Brush, Todd Bradshaw and wife Tracey of Boulder; one sister, Janet Jensen of Sterling; one brother, Bob Barnts and wife Joyce of Redmond, Wash.; seven nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Louise Roth.Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush handled the arrangements.
