Letter from Dana Tischer (email address) to Rasmusson, Jenny, Feb 20, 2021; ().
I'm related to Abraham Huff by marriage.  Lucy WardHuff's brother, Ira Ward, married my g-grandfather's sister, Charlotte TempleJeffers.
Abraham and Lucy Ward Huff's daughter, Sarah Maria, marriedmy grandfather's second cousin, David Edward McCombs.  (David'sgrandmother, Catharine Jeffers is a sister to my gg-grandfather, JosephJeffers.)  David and Sarah Maria's daughter, Lucy Pearl, and Edward ReubenPerman are the parents of Eugene LaPorte Perman.

I was in touch with Eugene Perman's daughter, HelenJaggears, years ago.  She's done a lot of research and is very good atdocumenting.  My copy of her son's S.A.R application lists the parents ofAbraham Huff III (h/o Lucy Ward) as Abraham Huff, Jr. and Sarah AnnSargent.  From there, she follows the Sargent line, rather than the Huffline.  During my 15-year break from family history, Helen and I continuedto exchange Christmas cards, but I didn't receive one from her this year. She turned 80-years-old early this month, but a quick search didn't reveal anydeath notices.  There's an article on Newspapers.com that says her son,Lamar Jaggears is the police chief of Gadsden, Alabama, as of a year ago, anyway.

Abraham Huff Sr (our Caleb's probable brother)  whomarried  Prudence had a son Abraham who married Sarah Sargent.  They went to Hancock county where he was a judge.  He tried to plot a town called Capernaum but it wasn't a successful enterprise.  They later moved to Missouri.  I went to Crawford MO to check courthouse records but it had burned down and all the early records were lost.
