Ruth Ann Pedisich, age 87, passed away on Feb. 1, 2012. She was born on Oct. 30, 1924 in Fresno and moved to Sacramento at the age of two. She lived the next 83 years in Sacramento before moving closer to family in Napa.

She was active in many organizations in Sacramento, including the American Cancer League, Loyola Guild, Mercy Children’s Hospital Guild, American Slav Society Club, St. Ignatius Altar Society, Widow’s Person Association of California and numerous other organizations.

Ruth Ann was the beloved wife of the late Ned John Pedisich. She is survived by her son, Dennis Pedisich, and his wife, Colleen, and her daughter, Nancy Yost, and her husband, Larry. She was a devoted grandma to Nick and wife, Sara, Brett, Lance and wife, Michele, Matt and wife, Lisa, and five great-grandchildren. Ruth Ann was the loved sister of Donald Cook and the late Patricia Falkenstein. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

We will miss so many things about our mom, grandma and friend, but we will miss her sense of humor, laugh, smile and beautiful blue eyes most of all. She was always the happiest when she was together with family and friends. The color red was her favorite and she will be remembered each time we see the color.

Friends are invited to attend Vigil Services Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at 6 p.m., at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Boulevard and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, 3235 Arden Way, Sacramento. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento, CA 95820. Reception to follow at the church.
